POF shrink film and PVC shrink film are commonly used for packaging. What are the advantages of POF shrink film over PVC shrink film?
The main characteristics of PVC shrink film come from plasticizer. It is relatively thick, hard and brittle, and its transparency is relatively low. PVC shrink film is classified as a non-environmentally friendly shrink film. That is because it will release toxic gases when it is burned. Meanwhile,  it is also not suitable for direct contact with food because some toxic additives may seep out. When stored for a long time, the effect of the plasticizer will disappear with time. By then, PVC shrink film will become yellow and brittle. In addition, PVC is very sensitive to temperature. When stored at low temperature, PVC will become very fragile. When stored at 40-50 degrees, it may shrink and deteriorate. Therefore, PVC should be stored at a room temperature lower than 25 degrees.

The main components of POF shrink film are PE and PP. Unlike PVC, POF shrink film is a soft and environmentally friendly shrink film. It will not release toxic gases when burned and can also come into direct contact with food. POF shrink film has soft texture, toughness, high transparency and high shrinkage rate. POF is less sensitive to temperature, it will not become brittle and yellow at low temperature, and it will not shrink at 40-50 degrees.
